Intel supply & support in the Garden Route
The right Intel platform for the software you actually run.
Whether we are quoting laptops, building a workstation or specifying a server, the processor choice determines how the machine will feel in three years. CXIT specifies Intel Core and Xeon platforms for Garden Route businesses based on the software you run — Sage, Pastel, AutoCAD, Adobe, practice management systems or virtualised servers — rather than on the biggest number available.
What we do with Intel
Workload-based specification
We match Core i5, i7, i9 or Xeon to your real applications, then balance memory and SSD so nothing bottlenecks.
Workstation builds
Intel-based builds for CAD, video, photography and large spreadsheet or database work.
Server platforms
Xeon servers for virtualisation, line-of-business databases and file services, with sensible headroom.
Upgrades and refresh planning
Advice on when an SSD and memory upgrade is enough and when the platform genuinely needs replacing.
Firmware and driver hygiene
Chipset, firmware and microcode updates kept current under managed support.

Intel questions we get asked
Which Intel processor do we need for accounting software?
Most desk-based accounting work is comfortable on a current Core i5 with 16GB of memory and an SSD. Heavy multi-company databases or large reporting benefit from an i7.
Intel or AMD?
Both are strong today. We choose on availability, warranty, platform features and what your software vendor supports, and we will explain the trade-off in the quote.
Is it worth upgrading an older Intel machine?
Often yes, if it is a business-grade chassis: an SSD and extra memory can add two useful years for a fraction of a new machine.
